FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

In-Network For Kaiser Permanente Insurance

Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.

Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.

True to our mission, we make scheduling easy for everyone. You can choose your preferred therapist by using our scheduling tool available 24/7, call our friendly receptionists (available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm MST) at (303) 986-4197, complete one of the many contact forms on our website, or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance. Our patient-focused approach is designed to give Kaiser members in Colorado a stress-free, positive experience.

Details about Women's Issues

Adult women often seek therapy to address the emotional, relational, and societal complexities that surface throughout different phases of life. Whether juggling work and caregiving responsibilities, navigating fertility or health challenges, or dealing with gender-based discrimination or microaggressions, the cumulative stress can become overwhelming. These pressures frequently manifest as anxiety, depression, self-doubt, chronic guilt, or a sense of emotional depletion, especially when support systems are limited or societal expectations feel impossible to meet.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care offer a safe, validating environment where women can process these challenges and reconnect with themselves. Therapy may center on topics such as emotional labor, people-pleasing, perfectionism, boundary-setting, or healing from childhood or relational trauma. For some clients, sessions focus on self-identity and empowerment after years of prioritizing others. Others may explore intergenerational patterns, cultural expectations, or the psychological effects of workplace inequality and caregiving burnout. We also work with women navigating reproductive transitions such as infertility, miscarriage, postpartum depression, or menopause, recognizing the emotional and hormonal layers that accompany each experience.

Treatment plans are tailored to each client’s goals, and often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for managing internalized negative beliefs, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for coping with uncertainty and change, and mindfulness-based techniques for stress reduction. Many of our providers also integrate feminist therapy principles, body image work, trauma-informed care, or solution-focused strategies depending on each woman’s needs and lived experience.

Westside Behavioral Care offers both in-person and online therapy with experienced clinicians who understand the unique and nuanced issues women face. Our offices are located throughout the Greater Denver Area, and we provide secure virtual appointments to clients across Colorado. All therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept other major insurance plans. If you’re ready to prioritize your mental health and explore meaningful change, we’re here to help you get started.
