Online Therapy Session , No Physical Location, CO
Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.
Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.
Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.
Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.
True to our mission, we make scheduling easy for everyone. You can choose your preferred therapist by using our scheduling tool available 24/7, call our friendly receptionists (available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm MST) at (303) 986-4197, complete one of the many contact forms on our website, or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance. Our patient-focused approach is designed to give Kaiser members in Colorado a stress-free, positive experience.
Adults living with terminal illness often experience a profound shift in their inner world. In addition to managing physical symptoms, many face waves of emotional complexity, from grief and fear to guilt, frustration, or spiritual questioning. There may be feelings of isolation, unfinished conversations, or anxiety about how loved ones will cope. For some, this time invites reflection, reconnection, and meaning-making; for others, it brings uncertainty and emotional pain that can be difficult to hold alone.
Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care provide gentle, attuned support for individuals facing life-limiting diagnoses. We work to create a safe, grounded space where clients can express thoughts they may not feel comfortable sharing elsewhere, including fears of death, worries about their family, or unresolved relational or spiritual concerns. Therapy may also focus on legacy projects, values-based decisions, life review, or dignity-centered care planning. Sessions are always client-led and tailored to emotional readiness and medical context.
Family members and caregivers often seek therapy during this time as well. They may be balancing anticipatory grief, caregiving exhaustion, or emotional conflict, all while trying to support someone they love. Counseling can help families navigate communication, set boundaries, and find small moments of emotional stability amid uncertainty. Whether you are a patient or part of the support system, therapy provides a place to slow down, feel seen, and receive care.
We offer both in-person appointments at offices across the Greater Denver Area and online sessions throughout Colorado. All of our therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept other insurance providers. If you or someone close to you is facing terminal illness, our team is here to provide compassionate, grounded support through every step of the journey.
Emerging adulthood brings new freedoms and new stressors. Between college, career choices, evolving friendships, financial independence, and navigating personal identity, this stage can feel both exciting and overwhelming. Many young adults face challenges with anxiety, depression, life direction, relationship struggles, or lingering effects of childhood trauma. Others are simply seeking personal growth and emotional clarity as they begin defining who they are and what they want for their future.
At Westside Behavioral Care, our therapists tailor sessions to meet the evolving needs of young adults in this unique life phase. Therapy might focus on emotional regulation, coping with uncertainty, building self-esteem, or managing stress from school or work. We use a range of proven approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-informed methods, and mindfulness-based interventions. The therapeutic relationship emphasizes respect, collaboration, and creating a space where clients can openly explore thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment.
Young adults can access therapy through Westside either in person throughout the Greater Denver Area or through secure online sessions from anywhere in Colorado. Our therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many are also contracted with other major insurance providers. Whether you’re starting college, entering the workforce, or working through personal transitions, our team is here to support your emotional well-being and long-term growth.
