FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about Postpartum Depression

Postpartum depression can affect anyone after giving birth, including first-time parents and those with prior experience. It often presents as persistent sadness, feelings of worthlessness, disinterest in once-enjoyed activities, and difficulties bonding with a baby. Some people experience extreme fatigue, brain fog, or intrusive thoughts. It’s not a sign of weakness or failure. It’s a medical condition, and it deserves compassionate, expert care.

Westside Behavioral Care offers specialized therapy for postpartum depression that’s tailored to each client’s unique experience. Our therapists may use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help shift negative thinking patterns, interpersonal therapy (IPT) to navigate changes in relationships, and mindfulness techniques to manage anxiety. We also provide trauma-informed care (including EMDR when relevant), as well as parenting support to help clients regain confidence in their new roles. You’ll work collaboratively with your therapist to build coping skills, reduce distress, and reconnect with yourself and your child.

We offer in-person therapy at offices throughout the Greater Denver Area, including Lakewood, Englewood, Westminster, Arvada, and Boulder, as well as secure online sessions across Colorado. All Westside Behavioral Care providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many are also credentialed with other major insurance plans. Getting help should feel accessible, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
