FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about Phobias

Phobias often show up in everyday life in unexpected and frustrating ways. Someone with a phobia might avoid driving over bridges, decline travel opportunities, or steer clear of social events due to overwhelming fear. These fears can lead to physical symptoms like sweating, nausea, panic attacks, or shaking, even when the feared object or situation poses no real danger. Children, teens, and adults alike can struggle with phobias, which may be specific (like fear of dogs or flying) or more general (like social or agoraphobia).

At Westside Behavioral Care, our therapists use proven methods to help individuals safely confront and manage their fears. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a primary treatment, often combined with exposure therapy to gradually desensitize the client in a safe, structured way. Additional tools like mindfulness, relaxation strategies, EMDR, and ACT may also be incorporated depending on a person’s needs. Our goal is to reduce avoidance behaviors and empower each person to reclaim parts of their life once ruled by fear.

We offer in-person therapy at offices throughout the Greater Denver Area, including Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Broomfield, Arvada, and Littleton, as well as secure online sessions across Colorado. All Westside Behavioral Care providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many are also credentialed with other major insurance plans. Getting help should feel accessible, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
