FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about Mindfulness

Mindfulness concerns are often rooted in the difficulty of staying present in a fast-paced, overstimulating world. People who seek mindfulness therapy may experience racing thoughts, trouble focusing, sleep disturbances, or overwhelming emotions. These challenges can affect anyone, children, teens, and adults alike, and often appear alongside anxiety, depression, chronic stress, or unresolved trauma. Practicing mindfulness can help individuals slow down, become more aware of their internal experiences, and respond with greater clarity and compassion.

Westside Behavioral Care therapists integrate mindfulness techniques into treatment using approaches like Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities. These therapies focus on helping clients observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment, stay grounded in the present, and develop healthier coping strategies. Therapy can support emotional regulation, reduce distress, improve self-awareness, and foster more meaningful connections with yourself and others.

We offer in-person sessions throughout the Greater Denver Area, including Arvada, Thornton, Lakewood, Denver, and Centennial, as well as secure online therapy for clients anywhere in Colorado. All of our providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept additional major insurance plans. Whether you’re exploring mindfulness for stress relief or seeking support with a deeper concern, our experienced therapists are here to help you begin your journey.
