FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about LGBTQIA+ Ally

LGBTQIA+ individuals may face distinct emotional and social challenges related to their identities. These can include anxiety, depression, low self-worth, or trauma resulting from discrimination, family rejection, or internalized stigma. For many, seeking therapy is a courageous step toward healing from these experiences and creating space for authenticity and growth. Issues may center around coming out, exploring gender identity, managing relationship dynamics, or coping with a lack of acceptance in schools, workplaces, or communities.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care who specialize in LGBTQIA+ allyship offer compassionate, affirming care rooted in evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and trauma-informed approaches. Therapy can help you strengthen identity resilience, explore gender or orientation with safety and support, and address mental health struggles that may or may not be tied directly to identity. Our therapists work collaboratively, meeting you where you are, with the goal of creating a space that honors your experiences and fosters emotional well-being.

We offer therapy services both in person throughout the Greater Denver Area, including Aurora, Broomfield, Wheat Ridge, Centennial, and Arvada, and through secure online therapy across Colorado. All Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept other major insurance providers. Finding an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist is a powerful step, one we’re here to support with compassion and accessibility.
