FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about Geriatrics

Geriatric concerns encompass the emotional and mental health challenges that often arise later in life. Older adults may face grief after the loss of a spouse or friends, anxiety about declining health, or depression stemming from social isolation or reduced independence. Cognitive shifts, chronic illnesses, and role changes, such as transitioning from caregiver to care recipient, can also lead to emotional distress. These experiences are valid, and support is available.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care offer compassionate, age-informed care tailored to the needs of older adults. Common approaches include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), solution-focused therapy, and ACT. These treatments help with processing loss, reducing loneliness, managing chronic illness, and rebuilding purpose and joy. Whether someone is coping with major life transitions or seeking emotional clarity and peace of mind, therapy provides an empowering path forward.

Therapy for geriatric issues is available both in person throughout the Greater Denver Area, including Thornton, Broomfield, Westminster, Aurora, and Littleton, and statewide through secure online sessions. All Westside providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept other major insurance plans to ensure accessible care for individuals and families across Colorado.
