FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

In-Network For Kaiser Permanente Insurance

Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.

Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.

True to our mission, we make scheduling easy for everyone. You can choose your preferred therapist by using our scheduling tool available 24/7, call our friendly receptionists (available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm MST) at (303) 986-4197, complete one of the many contact forms on our website, or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance. Our patient-focused approach is designed to give Kaiser members in Colorado a stress-free, positive experience.

Details about Family Counseling

When families face ongoing tension, disconnection, or frequent miscommunication, it can take a toll on everyone involved. Children may act out or withdraw, parents may feel overwhelmed or frustrated, and couples may struggle to stay aligned. Family stressors can arise from a variety of sources, including behavioral challenges, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma, or mental health concerns. Even strong families sometimes need support when navigating complex dynamics or working through painful events. Left unaddressed, these issues can impact emotional wellbeing, academic or work performance, and overall family functioning.

Westside therapists offer a compassionate and structured approach to family counseling, creating a safe space for everyone to be heard. Treatment may include techniques from family systems therapy, CBT, and parenting guidance, depending on the unique challenges present. Therapists help families build stronger communication skills, establish healthy boundaries, resolve conflicts, and deepen empathy for one another. In some cases, therapists may work with subgroups or individuals within the family to complement joint sessions. The goal is to help families restore connection, address underlying pain points, and create more supportive relationships at home.

Therapy is available both in person across the Greater Denver Area and online for families throughout Colorado. All Westside Behavioral Care providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept other major insurance plans. You can search by location, insurance, or family-specific concerns to find a therapist who aligns with your needs and goals.
