FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

In-Network For Kaiser Permanente Insurance

Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.

Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.

True to our mission, we make scheduling easy for everyone. You can choose your preferred therapist by using our scheduling tool available 24/7, call our friendly receptionists (available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm MST) at (303) 986-4197, complete one of the many contact forms on our website, or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance. Our patient-focused approach is designed to give Kaiser members in Colorado a stress-free, positive experience.

Details about EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from the emotional wounds caused by trauma, distressing memories, or deeply rooted negative beliefs. It’s often used to treat symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but it can also benefit individuals coping with anxiety, panic attacks, grief, and childhood abuse. People struggling with EMDR-related concerns might find themselves reliving painful experiences, avoiding triggers, feeling emotionally numb, or overwhelmed by fear and shame. These symptoms can affect relationships, work, and overall quality of life, but healing is absolutely possible.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care use EMDR to help clients safely process painful memories and reduce their emotional charge. This approach involves structured sets of guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation while recalling traumatic experiences, which helps the brain reprocess them in a healthier way. EMDR is often integrated with other effective treatments like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness practices to support long-term healing. If you’re considering therapy for trauma or past emotional wounds, you may want to ask if EMDR is a good fit for your specific goals. Many clients report significant progress, even after other approaches haven’t worked.

You can access EMDR therapy with ease through Westside Behavioral Care. We offer appointments both in person at convenient locations throughout the Greater Denver Area and via secure online therapy across all of Colorado. All of our providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept a range of other major insurance plans. Whether you’re just beginning your healing journey or looking for a new approach, our network of experienced therapists is here to support you.
