FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

In-Network For Kaiser Permanente Insurance

Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.

Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.

True to our mission, we make scheduling easy for everyone. You can choose your preferred therapist by using our scheduling tool available 24/7, call our friendly receptionists (available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm MST) at (303) 986-4197, complete one of the many contact forms on our website, or email info@westsidebehavioral.com for personal assistance. Our patient-focused approach is designed to give Kaiser members in Colorado a stress-free, positive experience.

Details about Dissociative Disorder

Dissociative disorders can feel confusing, isolating, and difficult to talk about, but you’re not alone, and support is available. These conditions often involve disruptions in memory, identity, perception, or sense of self. Some people experience dissociative amnesia, periods of feeling detached from their bodies or surroundings (depersonalization or derealization), or in some cases, alternate identities (as in Dissociative Identity Disorder, or DID). These experiences may be linked to past trauma, high stress, or long-term emotional overwhelm. While symptoms vary, many people with dissociative disorders struggle with feeling grounded in daily life, navigating relationships, or maintaining a stable sense of who they are.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care work thoughtfully and compassionately with clients experiencing dissociation. Our clinicians may use trauma-informed approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), depending on your unique history and goals. Therapy often focuses on increasing emotional safety, processing traumatic experiences, improving grounding techniques, and strengthening the ability to stay present. If you’re starting therapy for dissociative symptoms, you may want to ask about your therapist’s experience with trauma recovery and how they support clients in rebuilding trust in their own internal experience.

Finding support for dissociative disorders shouldn’t feel overwhelming. Westside Behavioral Care offers both in-person appointments throughout the Greater Denver Area and convenient online therapy for clients anywhere in Colorado. Our providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept other major insurance plans as well. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply a safe place to begin exploring your experiences, compassionate care is within reach.
