Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.
Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured, evidence-based treatment developed to help people who have experienced traumatic events, particularly those struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Many individuals find themselves stuck in unhelpful thoughts related to trauma, such as blaming themselves, feeling unsafe, or believing they can’t trust others. These patterns can show up as anxiety, emotional numbness, irritability, nightmares, or difficulty connecting with loved ones. CPT offers a way to understand how trauma affects beliefs and emotions, helping people feel less overwhelmed and more in control of their lives.
At Westside Behavioral Care, our therapists trained in CPT work closely with clients to identify distressing thought patterns and gently challenge them using guided questions and exercises. This approach helps individuals reframe how they think about their trauma, leading to lasting emotional relief. In addition to CPT, some therapists may integrate other treatments like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), or CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), depending on each client’s needs. Clients often find it helpful to ask their therapist how structured the sessions will be, how homework might play a role, and what kinds of trauma the therapist typically works with.
Therapy for trauma and PTSD is accessible and flexible. Westside Behavioral Care offers appointments both in person throughout the Greater Denver Area and through secure online sessions for clients anywhere in Colorado. All of our CPT therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept other major insurance plans. Whether you’re just beginning your healing process or returning to therapy, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
