Do you accept Kaiser insurance for therapy in Denver?
Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Do I need a referral from Kaiser to start therapy?
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.
Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Details about Child Abuse
Experiencing or witnessing child abuse, whether physical, emotional, sexual, or neglect, can leave deep, lasting emotional wounds. Survivors may carry symptoms of trauma well into adulthood, including anxiety, trust issues, flashbacks, low self-esteem, difficulty with relationships, or unexplained emotional outbursts. For children, signs can include withdrawal, behavioral challenges, fearfulness, or regression in developmental milestones. Each person’s response is unique, but the impact often reaches far beyond the original event and into daily life, family dynamics, and future self-worth.
Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care are trained to support both child survivors and adults processing childhood abuse. Our providers may use evidence-based approaches like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, or Attachment-Based Therapy to help individuals rebuild safety, process painful memories, and begin healing. Therapy often includes gentle, age-appropriate techniques for children, as well as structured support for parents or caregivers.
