Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.
Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Westside Behavioral Care offers one of Colorado’s largest networks of mental health providers (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, PsyD/PhDs, PMHNPs, etc) dedicated to Kaiser Permanente patients statewide. Established in 1998 with the mission of making appointment scheduling as easy and convenient as possible, Westside’s licensed therapists serve thousands of patients a year by providing supportive counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. Appointments are available through in-person sessions across the Denver metro area (Aurora, Lakewood, Littleton, Boulder, Arvada, etc.) and convenient online therapy statewide.
Thanks to our partnership with Kaiser, members can expect quick access to care (often in as little as 48 hours) without worrying about prior authorizations or referrals. Nearly all Westside therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, meaning you get the care you need at in-network rates. Our team will verify your benefits and share them with your therapist ahead of your first appointment so you’re fully informed going into your first session.

Coping with cancer, whether you’re newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, in remission, or a caregiver, can bring intense emotional and psychological strain. It’s common to experience anxiety, depression, fear of recurrence, grief, or even identity shifts as life revolves around appointments, side effects, and uncertainty. These challenges can affect sleep, relationships, appetite, and day-to-day functioning. For many, cancer is not just a medical diagnosis, it’s an emotional journey that touches every part of life, including self-worth, future plans, and connection with others.
Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care understand the complex emotional toll cancer can take, and many have specialized experience supporting individuals and families navigating these challenges. Our counselors may use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help manage negative thoughts, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to find meaning and strength in difficult moments, or Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to ease physical and emotional distress. Supportive-expressive therapy and grief counseling are also available to process loss or existential fear. When reaching out, consider asking about your therapist’s experience with chronic illness or cancer-related care.

Teenagers experience rapid growth, not only physically but emotionally and mentally, as they move toward adulthood. The teen years often involve major shifts in identity, peer relationships, academic pressure, and emotional regulation. Common concerns during this time include anxiety, depression, self-esteem struggles, social isolation, academic burnout, family conflict, and navigating gender or sexual identity. With the right tools and guidance, teens can learn to process their experiences and develop the confidence and emotional skills they need for adulthood.
Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care work collaboratively with teens to create a judgment-free space where they feel heard and understood. Treatment may include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness strategies, or solution-focused approaches depending on the teen’s needs and preferences. Our therapists are skilled at building trust, balancing autonomy with support, and involving parents or caregivers when helpful, all while prioritizing the teen’s voice in their care.
Westside provides therapy for teens ages 13–18 both in person at locations across the Greater Denver Area and online anywhere in Colorado. All therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many work with additional major insurance providers. Whether your teen needs support with daily stressors or more complex emotional challenges, Westside offers compassionate, accessible care to help them grow and thrive during these critical years.
