Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.
Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that causes significant shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels, ranging from intense emotional highs (mania or hypomania) to deep lows (depression). These mood episodes can make it difficult to manage daily responsibilities, maintain relationships, or perform well at work or school. People may feel elated and energetic one week, then hopeless and withdrawn the next. Bipolar disorder affects both men and women and can begin in adolescence or early adulthood. There are several subtypes, including Bipolar I, Bipolar II, and Cyclothymic Disorder, each with its own patterns and intensity. Left untreated, these cycles can become increasingly disruptive and emotionally exhausting.
Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care offer compassionate, personalized treatment for individuals living with bipolar disorder. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is frequently used to help clients manage thought patterns and behaviors tied to mood swings. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) can be effective in improving emotional regulation, while Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) supports values-based living even during difficult episodes. Therapy often includes education about symptoms, lifestyle planning, and relapse prevention strategies. In many cases, therapists also collaborate with psychiatrists for medication management. New clients may want to ask about mood tracking, support systems, and approaches to managing both manic and depressive states.
Getting support for bipolar disorder is easier than you might think. Westside Behavioral Care offers both in-person therapy throughout the Greater Denver Area and secure online sessions across all of Colorado. All our providers are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept a variety of major insurance plans.
