Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.
Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.
Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.
Mental health care should be accessible to everyone, including members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. For individuals who use American Sign Language (ASL), it can be especially challenging to find therapy that’s not only linguistically but also culturally aligned. Communication barriers in traditional mental health settings may lead to frustration, isolation, or misdiagnosed symptoms. Those seeking ASL-accessible therapy often face struggles like anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, just like anyone else, but may experience these through a lens shaped by unique cultural experiences and systemic barriers. Ensuring that therapy is delivered in ASL by providers who understand the Deaf experience is essential to effective, empowering care.
At Westside Behavioral Care, our ASL-fluent therapists provide a supportive environment where Deaf and hard-of-hearing clients can engage in therapy without language gaps. Depending on your goals and needs, therapists may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or trauma-informed approaches tailored to your lived experience. These evidence-based modalities are adapted to fit the cultural and communication preferences of ASL users. If you’re new to therapy, consider asking whether the therapist is Deaf themselves or if they have extensive experience working within Deaf culture. Feeling seen, heard, and understood, without needing an interpreter, can make all the difference in healing.
Therapy with ASL-accessible providers is available in person at locations throughout the Greater Denver Area, as well as online anywhere in Colorado through secure telehealth platforms. All of our ASL-fluent therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many accept additional major insurance plans. Whether you’re looking for ongoing support or help navigating a difficult chapter, our goal is to make therapy easy to access, culturally competent, and responsive to your unique needs.
