FAQs and Details for Kaiser Members

Yes! Nearly all of our therapists accept Kaiser Permanente insurance, and other insurance plans, for mental health services in Colorado. We offer in-person and telehealth therapy sessions. To schedule an appointment or verify coverage, call 303-986-4197 or visit our Kaiser providers page.

Our in-network providers do not require a referral or prior authorization to see Kaiser Permanente patients with Colorado-based plans. Patients with out-of-state plans and some psychiatric services may require a prior authorization. If one is needed, our team can request one on your behalf to make the process as easy as possible for you. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact our team at info@westsidebehavioral.com for assistance.

Of course! You can browse our Kaiser provider profiles accepting new patients here. Our team is also available to help you find a therapist who meets your needs, insurance, and location. Feel free to call 303-986-4197 for phone assistance, email us at info@westsidebehavioral.com, or submit a contact form to connect with us.

Details about Alcohol Abuse

Alcohol abuse can affect people from all walks of life, often beginning subtly before becoming disruptive to daily functioning. Individuals struggling with alcohol misuse may find it hard to control their drinking, feel guilt or shame about their behavior, or continue drinking despite harmful consequences to their relationships, work, or health. It can also involve binge drinking, dependency, or using alcohol to manage stress, trauma, or emotional pain. The impacts can be emotional, physical, and deeply isolating, but with support, change is possible.

Therapists at Westside Behavioral Care offer compassionate, evidence-based treatment for alcohol abuse tailored to each client’s journey. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is commonly used to address the underlying thought patterns that contribute to addictive behaviors, while Motivational Interviewing (MI) can help build readiness for change. Some therapists also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for emotional regulation and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for values-driven recovery. For those with past trauma, EMDR may be a helpful adjunct. Clients are encouraged to ask about approaches that align with their personal goals and whether therapy can be coordinated with medical or group support when needed.

Getting help for alcohol abuse is more accessible than many people realize. Westside Behavioral Care offers flexible appointments both in person across the Greater Denver Area and through secure online therapy available anywhere in Colorado. All of our therapists are in-network with Kaiser Permanente, and many also accept other major insurance providers. Support is within reach, no matter where you are in your recovery journey.
