Postpartum depression (PPD) can be a deeply isolating and confusing experience. It affects new mothers, birthing parents, and even partners, often during a time when they’re expected to feel joy. You may be struggling with intense sadness, anxiety, irritability, detachment from your baby, or overwhelming guilt. Some individuals experience changes in sleep or appetite, panic attacks, or difficulty bonding with their child. PPD can show up days or months after childbirth, and it’s more common than many people realize.
